The short answer is yes!

Here, we’ll guide you through the simple steps to add new documents to your claim, ensuring your claim moves forward without delays.

When submitting a claim, it's not uncommon to realise that you need to provide additional documents to ensure the claim is processed smoothly. It is normal to wait a little while claims are processed and sometimes, you have to wait to receive new invoices from your doctor.

When can I add additional documents?

At Feather, we understand that gathering all the necessary paperwork can take time, so we give you up to 7 days to add any missing documents after your initial submission.

Guide to adding documents

If you need to submit additional documents, don’t worry—it’s a quick and easy process. Here’s how:

  1. Log into your Feather account: Start by accessing your personal account on Feather.

  2. Select the relevant claim: Navigate to the specific claim for which you want to add documents.

  3. Click on 'Add documents': Once you’ve opened the claim, simply click 'Add documents' and follow the prompts to attach the necessary files.

What happens if I don't submit additional documents within 7 days?

If, after 7 days you have not been able to attach new documents, in this case, you will have to submit a new claim in your Feather account. But not to worry, our team will verify the process by linking this new claim to previous ones.

What happens next?

Once you’ve submitted your additional documents, they are immediately sent to our claims team for review. Rest assured that your claim will be updated, and our team will start working with the new information right away.

How long will it take?

We aim to process claims as efficiently as possible. In most cases, claims are processed within 2 weeks if all required documents are in order. However, depending on the complexity of your claim or if further information is needed, the process may take up to 4-6 weeks. You will receive an email notification once your claim has been reviewed and processed, informing you of the outcome.
