Yes, you can still submit a claim after you canceled your expat health policy.
It is common that you might need to cancel your policy while claims are still processing or while you're waiting to receive invoices from a doctor visit that occurred while your coverage was active.
After canceling your policy, your Feather account will remain available and you will be able to submit claims as usual. The process remains the same as when your policy was active.
Simply log into your Feather account, submit the necessary documentation, and our team will review your claim.
So long as the treatment/medical event that you are submitting a claim for occurred while your expat health policy was active, your claim is reviewed as usual.
Remember, expat health insurance covers accidents, emergencies, and new illnesses. It does not cover pre-existing conditions, routine check ups, or preventative care appointments. You can read an overview of the coverage breakdown for both the basic and premium expat policies in our coverage FAQ. If it falls within the scope of coverage, you will receive your claim reimbursement to the EU IBAN that you submitted with your claim.
