On our premium expat health insurance plan, we offer coverage for costs of routine prenatal examinations and childbirth.

Please keep in mind that there is a waiting period of six months for pregnancy-related care. What this means is that the pregnancy must have first occurred after your expat premium policy commenced. Once you have then been on the premium plan for 6 months, prenatal examinations and childbirth costs would be covered.

If you plan to get pregnant earlier or are already pregnant, then we recommend you opt for comprehensive public or private health insurance. To find out if you are eligible for public or private, you can use our digital recommendation tool.

If you are already pregnant, please read this FAQ.
