The Surgery plan focuses on medically necessary operations, while the Plus plan adds broader health benefits like medical treatments, preventive care, and dental coverage. Both plans share the same waiting periods, worldwide travel coverage for up to 12 months, and age-based premium increases.

What coverage does the Surgery pet insurance plan provide?

The Surgery plan covers the cost of medically necessary operations. These are defined as procedures performed under general anesthesia, sedation, or local anesthesia that involve cutting through the skin or underlying tissue with an incision larger than a puncture.

In addition to the operation itself, the plan also covers related services—such as vet clinic stays, diagnostics, and short-term physiotherapy to support recovery. These are only included when they’re directly connected to the surgery and the procedure actually takes place.

What additional benefits does the Plus pet insurance plan include beyond the Surgery plan?

The Plus plan includes everything in the Surgery plan, along with medical treatments, preventive treatments, and certain dental procedures.

The table below gives you a clear overview of what’s included in each plan.
