You can insure a bike of any age and with any kind of frame with our household contents insurance.
If you select the extended cover policy, your bike will automatically be covered for 1% of your insured sum, for example, if your insured sum is 50,000 EUR and you select the extended policy, your bike will be covered up to €500. If your bike is worth more, you should select the comprehensive bike cover which allows you to increase the bike insured sum by up to 3,000 EUR.

Here is a run-down of bike coverage with the household contents insurance:

Basic cover
• bike theft not included

Extended cover

• covered for a maximum of 1% of the insured sum

• theft anywhere in the world

• items that are loosely connected to the bike/ bike trailer and regularly serve its use will only be replaced if they have been stolen at the same time

Comprehensive bike cover add-on

• bike insured up to 3k
• theft anywhere in the world

• items that are loosely connected to the bike/ bike trailer and regularly serve its use will only be replaced if they have been stolen at the same time

In the event of a claim, you'll need an original purchase receipt. Without this, the maximum reimbursement amount is €150.
