Feather dental insurance has an initial minimum contract period of one year from the start date of your policy. For example, a policy that begins on October 5, 2025 will complete its minimum contract period on October 4, 2026.
What are my cancellation options during the first policy period?
During the first policy period, you have several cancellation options:
You may exercise a 14-day right of withdrawal after purchasing the policy. If you cancel within this period, you receive a refund of the premiums paid, and the contract is canceled from the start. However, any benefits received during these 14 days must be repaid.
If you have not received any claim reimbursements, you can request cancellation, and the policy will end at the end of the month you requested its cancellation.
If you have received a claim reimbursement, cancellation can only take effect at the end of the one-year contract period.
If you move out of Germany or no longer have public health insurance, you may cancel immediately by providing proof such as deregistration (Abmeldung) or termination documentation from the public health insurer.
