Your long-term health insurance plan covers both statutory and additional preventive examinations. These are reimbursed directly if billed accordingly and do not affect your cashback and no-claim bonuses.
How do I know if it’s billed accordingly?
You can verify this by comparing your invoice with the "Preventive examinations" document in your Feather account's coverage details. This document lists all covered preventive exams along with their official service codes (GOÄ/GOZ-digits). These service codes are standardized across Germany for privately insured patients, regardless of your insurance provider.
Below is an example of preventive dental services covered by your policy, along with their corresponding GOZ/GOÄ-digits:
Why was part of my preventive checkup deducted from my cashback bonus?
This happens when some procedures or tests you received are not classified as preventive under your coverage. You can easily verify this by comparing the service codes on your invoice with those in the "Preventive examinations" document. If they don’t match the preventive service codes, the charges won’t be considered preventive and will therefore be reimbursed through your cashback bonus.
Here's an example of how to cross-check your invoice with the document:

As shown, all service codes in your invoice (under 'Ziffer'), except for one, can be found in the 'Preventive examinations' document.
This means that all will be paid out to your account (total of €67.88), except for service code 3532 (€6.03), which will be reimbursed through your cashback bonus.
