Does the Plus plan include surgery coverage?

The Plus plan includes unlimited surgery coverage, just like the Surgery plan — plus extra benefits.

Yes. All surgeries covered under the Surgery plan are also included in the Plus plan. This means:

  • Unlimited coverage for medically necessary surgeries

  • Procedures must meet the definition of surgery (performed under anesthesia or sedation and involving an incision larger than a puncture)

  • Costs are covered in line with your policy, minus any deductible if included with your plan

Waiting periods

  • A general waiting period of 30 days applies before surgery coverage begins

  • Certain procedures, such as castration or sterilization with a medical indication (e.g., tumors or inflammation of the reproductive organs), have a special waiting period of 6 months

Extra benefits of the Plus plan

In addition to unlimited surgery coverage, the Plus plan also covers other medical treatments up to €800 per policy year. This total includes:

  • Preventive treatments: up to €70 per year (learn more here)

  • Certain dental treatments: up to €150 per year (e.g. removal of persistent milk canini, dental fillings, correction of dental/jaw anomalies, and dentures)

These benefits apply per policy year (starting from your policy start date and resetting on your policy anniversary).
