Did you know that e-scooters are considered motor vehicles?
According to the BMDV, they're considered 'Personal Light Electric Vehicles' and every e-scooter that drives faster than 6 km/h needs its own insurance.
While our liability insurance covers accidental damages caused by regular pedal bicycles and e-bikes that don't require their own insurance (pedelecs), it doesn't offer coverage for e-scooters.
If you have an e-scooter, you'll need to get an insurance policy specifically for it, and you'll be given an insurance sticker that you can place on your vehicle.
