What are preventive check-ups?
They are tests that help detect health issues early. The German government has created a list of recommended check-ups you can do after a certain age. You can simply book the check-ups with your general practitioner, gynecologist, and dentist.
What's covered
Most of our plans cover more check-ups than government guidelines — no age limits and extra screenings. You'll find a general overview below.

Already covered? Check the coverage overview in your account. Under Preventive treatments, you'll see exactly which check-ups are covered, any age limits, and if you can keep your no-claims bonus.

Protect your no-claims bonus
Check if you get money back under your plan if you only submit bills for preventive check-ups:
Go to your coverage overview in your account.
Look for a no-claim-in-a-year section at the top of the page. If it’s there, check whether it says that preventive treatments don’t affect the bonus.
If you’re eligible, you’ll see a list of covered preventive check-ups in your coverage overview. Share this list with your doctor when booking the appointment so they don’t add extra services. Submit the bill to us as usual.
Your doctor charged extra stuff anyways? Don't worry. If your bonus was affected, we'll flag this in the bill statement. Simply reach out to us. We'll withdraw the bill, and you'll keep your bonus!
