Here’s how to get started:
Go to our Long-term Expat page
Open the Long-term Expat health insurance page on our website and click “Get covered” (or “Sign up”). This will take you to our secure online application.
Create or log in to your Feather account
If you’re new to Feather, you’ll be asked to create an account.
If you already have an account, simply log in and follow the prompts.
Complete the online application
Answer a few questions about your situation (e.g. where you live, your planned start date) and choose the Long-term Expat plan that fits you best.
You can submit everything fully online; no paperwork is needed, and we handle the process digitally.
Application review & policy documents
Once your application is submitted (or FMU form completed, if applicable), our team reviews it.
After approval, your policy documents are uploaded to your Feather account and you’ll receive an email notification. This usually takes only a couple of days — for most applications, we can get you covered within 1–2 days.
For applicants aged 65–70
