Supplemental dental insurance is an 'add-on' to the dental coverage offered within your public health insurance policy. Unlike public health insurance, where you can name dependents, you will need to purchase an individual dental insurance policy for each family member in order for them to receive coverage. Purchasing multiple insurance policies for your family can be confusing, but luckily Feather makes it simple and easy to manage all of your policies under one account!

Simply select the desired insurance plan, sign into the same email address you use for your main Feather account, then enter your family member's name and date of birth. Once the newly purchased policies are active, you will be able to see and manage them from your account.

Important reminder: Your family members must also be a member of the statutory healthcare system (GKV) in order to be eligible for the dental policy!

If you are purchasing a dental policy for someone who is under the age of 18, a parental guardian may need to be confirmed. If this is the case, we will reach out to the email on file a few business days after the policy is purchased to confirm the parental guardian, and finalise the coverage.
