Does dental insurance cover the costs of veneers?

Feather's Advanced dental plan covers medically necessary tooth replacement treatments, including veneers, if recommended after the start of the policy. Cosmetic veneers or any treatments recommended before signing up are not covered.

Feather's dental insurance provides coverage for veneers and other tooth replacement treatments only under the Advanced dental plan. Coverage depends on medical necessity—for example, to restore a damaged tooth—and if the treatment was recommended after enrolling in the plan.

Only Feather's Advanced dental plan supports tooth replacement procedures including implants, bridges, crowns, inlays, onlays, dentures, and veneers when medically necessary.

Veneers or other tooth replacement treatments are not covered if they are purely cosmetic or if the treatment was recommended before signing up for dental insurance.

Coverage applies only if the treatment is medically necessary and was discovered or recommended after the dental insurance policy started. If you’re unsure about your situation, submitting a cost plan in advance is the best way to check.

The Advanced dental plan offers different levels of coverage: 80%, 90%, or 100%, depending on the option you select. This percentage applies to the total cost of tooth replacement treatments. If part of the cost is already covered by your public health insurance, Feather covers the remaining amount up to your selected level.

Coverage limits depend on the number of permanent missing adult teeth you have at enrollment. Wisdom teeth are not counted as missing. These limits apply annually and affect reimbursement amounts.
