In general, there is unlimited coverage for accidents and there is no waiting period for this aspect of the coverage.

Note: Accident refers to a traumatic episode only, e.g. fall and chipping your tooth.

Additionally, after a 6 month waiting period, you will also receive a general allowance for routine dental treatment.

Routine dental treatment includes:

  • Dental inspection, preservation e.g. check up or cleanings

  • Pain relief treatments such as simple fillings

  • X-rays

  • Treatment of gums, operative and gnathological procedures

  • Dentures, including restoration of the function of dental prostheses and the installation of new prostheses, crowns, bridges and pivot teeth

  • Orthodontic treatment is available to children aged 17 years and under and includes the costs of appliances to correct the position of natural teeth

Please note: The coverage above pertains to new dental conditions that first commence after the policy begins. The coverage excludes any pre-existing conditions that were known, treated or diagnosed before the cover commenced.
