To be eligible for coverage on our liability insurance in Germany, you have to be officially registered at an address with an Anmeldung. If you’re visiting Germany temporarily for work, a short holiday or internship, and won’t be registering at your local citizens office (Bürgeramt), this policy won't be able to provide coverage for you.

Eligible ✅

  • You are at least 18 years old

  • Registered or intending to register as a German citizen with the local Bürgeramt

You decided to come to Germany to study for a bachelor’s degree, you have enrolled in a university and found an apartment where you can register. Since you’re over the age of 18 and will be getting an Anmeldung, you are eligible for our policy.

Not eligible ❌

  • Under 18 years old

  • Not registered or intending to register as a German citizen with a local Bürgeramt

You live in the UK and decided to use the benefits of remote working to travel around Germany for 2 months switching between Airbnbs. In this situation you wouldn’t be eligible for this policy.
