During your sign up, we'll ask you for the following documents.

1. ID or passport

2. German address

If you don’t have one yet, we’ll use a placeholder.

3. Proof of income to show you’re above the threshold

Employees

Upload your work contract. It must include:

  • Start date

  • Validity for at least 12 months from the insurance start date

  • Salary above the income threshold

  • Signatures from you and your employer

Freelancers or self employed

  • Work contracts or letters of intent

If you have multiple clients, submit a contract for each. These must:

    • Include signatures from you and your client

    • Mention the start date, duration, rates, and working hours

    • Clearly prove your expected income meets the threshold for the next 12 months

  • Bank statements from the last 3 months
This is to show a consistent income flow. Proof of savings is not accepted.

  • Optional supporting documents
You can add invoices, paychecks, business plans, recent tax assessments, or BWA statements.

If you can’t prove your income, you won’t be able to get into private health insurance.

💡 Tip: Missing documents or unclear information can delay your approval. Double-check everything before submitting.
