Does Feather's legal insurance cover legal issues related to my business?
Feather's legal insurance is a personal insurance policy. It does not cover legal matters related to your business activities or general legal issues stemming from self-employment. If you need legal insurance for business purposes, this policy does not provide that coverage.
What legal issues does Feather's legal insurance cover regarding employment?
This legal insurance plan covers legal disputes with your employer. Examples include situations where you believe you have been discriminated against or wrongfully terminated. In such cases, this policy allows you to seek legal counsel to address these employment disputes.
Is there any coverage for freelance or side income work?
Yes, but with specific limitations. If you have the Advanced Plan, our legal insurance can cover legal issues related to freelance or self-employed work, as long as it meets these conditions:
It’s a secondary source of income (you primarily work for an employer),
Your freelance/self-employed earnings do not exceed €22,000 per year.
This means if you’re doing occasional freelance work on the side you can still receive legal support under the Advanced Plan, including coverage for disputes related to contracts, payments, or clients.
If you’re fully self-employed or running a business, however, this policy won’t apply. You would need a separate legal insurance policy tailored for business use.
