We released an updated life insurance tariff on March 24, 2025, with different terms & conditions. Below the conditions are stated depending on the date the policy was purchased.

What countries can I move to and keep my life insurance if I bought it before March 24, 2025?

If you purchased your term life insurance before March 24, 2025, you can keep your policy if you permanently relocate to the following countries:

  • EU member states

  • United Kingdom

  • Switzerland

  • Iceland

  • Norway

  • United States

  • Canada

  • Australia

  • New Zealand

  • South Africa

  • India

At the time of application, you must have been either a resident of Germany or a German citizen living in the EU without plans to leave immediately.

What countries can I move to and keep my life insurance if I bought it after March 24, 2025?

If you purchased your policy on or after March 24, 2025, you can keep your term life insurance only if you relocate to one of the following countries:

  • Germany

  • Austria

  • Switzerland

  • Netherlands

  • Italy

  • Spain

  • Belgium

  • France

  • Liechtenstein
