Expat health insurance in Germany covers emergency hospitalization for new medical conditions. This includes any necessary overnight stays in a hospital due to an emergency.

Ambulance services are covered if the ambulance transport results in an inpatient hospital admission. Transport to the hospital without subsequent admission may not be covered.
